Emile Hirsch Goes Gangsta in Bonnie & Clyde

More Emile Hirsch news! Recently cast as John Belushi, currently co-starring in The Hotel Life with Stephen Dorff, Hirsch will shortly enter the small screen to play the infamous American outlaw, Clyde Barrow. The History Channel, Lifetime, and A&E are coming together to produce this 4-hour long mini-series that will air on all three networks simultaneously on December 8th and December 9th at 9 p.m.

Bonnie Parker will be played by Holliday Grainger, best known for her role in the series The Borgias. Rounding out the cast is William Hurt as Texas Ranger, Frank Hammer, who hunted the gangsters down, Holly Hunter as Bonnie’s mother, Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland as Bonnie’s sister, and Prison Break‘s Lane Garrison as Clyde’s brother.

Judging from the promo, it looks we’re in for an exciting, gritty, and bloody retelling of this legendary story. I don’t know if it will be more accurate than any other depiction or what motivation there is to even revisit it, but since I’ve never really visited the story in the first place, and since they have Emile, I’ll for sure be watching.
